Local Celebrity started in 2003 with a flash of inspiration at a music festival in rural Illinois.During the middle of a set, the company's founders decided the time was right to quit their day jobs and start a t-shirt company. Moving to San Diego, California, they came up with some designs and got down to business. Maxing out their credit cards, they bought a screen printing machine and starting peddles their first few wares. Before long the business had grown rapidly and they are now the unofficial wardrobe supplier to party people the world over.
